History
Company History and 50 Years of
1942
Founded as Nippon Sewing Machine Manufacturing Co. in Nagoya, Aichi prefecture, Japan
1964
Anjo Plant established in Anjo, Aichi Prefecture, Japan (Now headquarters and main plant)
1974
Begin to manufacture and sell parallel shaft reducer GTR gearmotor.
1980
Begin to produce and sell GTR H Type right angle shaft reducer (hypoid gearmotor).
1984
Begin production and sale of the GTR MINI Series gearmotor (15 W to 90 W).
1985
Anjo Minami Plant was established as a dedicated gearmotor factory
1991
Begin production and sale of the GTR-F Series right angle hollow bore/right angle shaft gearmotors.
2001
Anjo Minami Plant was expanded (New cellular assembly line introduced)
2002
Begin production and sale of battery powered gearmotors.
Begin production and sale of the GTR-A Series (low-backlash reducers).
2007
Gearmotors No. 2 Plant was established
2008
Begin production and sale of the GTR-AR compact high precision reducer AFC Type.
2010
Nissei Gear Motor Mfg. (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. was established as a subsidiary in China

Begin production and sale of the IPM high-efficiency gearmotors.

Begin production and sale of the GTR-AR high precision planetary reducers APG Type.

Message from the President
I am tremendously excited and emotional to have such a memorable moment, the 50th anniversary of the GTR products.
Along with gratitude for the many customers who have given us their support over fifty years, I am very proud on of the hard work and passion of our associates who have been involved in GTR products.
Having begun operation with sewing machine manufacturing, our company diversified to producing small gears for sewing machines and then to production of the aluminum die-cast frames used for sewing machine casings.
The merge of this aluminum die-casting technology with gear technology led to the creation of reducers: the production of gearmotors under the GTR brand started in 1974.Thereafter, we have provided various products and services suited to the times, realizing the value our customers need.
For our company, GTR products truly embody technical transition.
Preserving the traditions built by our predecessors, but breaking the conventional rules and frameworks, we continue to pursue our ideal manufacturing to deliver the excitement to everyone liked with Nissei by providing the optimal technologies, products, services.

Golden Jubilee Logo
The Golden Jubilee Logo was created to symbolize
50 years of tradition and a future of ongoing evolution.
It integrates the beloved GTR logo with a motif
featuring the hypoid gear, symbolizing our core technology.
Like this constantly rotating gear, we will continue to pass on our machining techniques and develop new technologies, moving forward together into our next century.
